Job Overview:

As an Okta Identity and Access Management Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing IAM systems using Okta technology across various client environments. This position requires a candidate who thrives on technical challenges, is adept at integrating advanced security measures, and ensures seamless system connectivity and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Okta System Management: Oversee the Okta IAM platform across different client environments, managing user administration, roles, permissions, and security settings effectively.
• Advanced Integration: Lead the integration of Okta with a range of corporate resources, ensuring each is configured to meet the specific security and compliance requirements of different clients.
• Technical Proficiency: Utilize Okta Workflows and REST APIs to enhance functionality and integration capabilities. Employ tools like Postman for API testing and configuration.
• Security Enhancements and Troubleshooting: Implement robust identity protection and access management solutions, resolving complex identity-related issues across various platforms.
• User Support and Education: Provide training and ongoing support, adapting Okta functionalities to meet the unique needs of each client environment.
• Automation and Documentation: Leverage Okta’s capabilities to automate provisioning and other administrative tasks, while maintaining detailed documentation for each client project.

Required Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with Okta’s suite of products, including Okta Workflows and understanding of REST APIs.
• Scripting and API Tools: Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell or Python, and familiarity with API tools such as Postman or similar technologies.
• Protocol Proficiency: Strong understanding of authentication and authorization protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: Okta Certified Administrator or Consultant.
• Additional Experience: Background in multi-factor authentication (MFA) implementations and familiarity with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
