This role will be based in our Washington, D.C. office, with occasional work in our NVA office, on an in-office basis. This role reports to the Office Services and Hospitality Managers.
Position Summary
The Office Services and Hospitality Assistant will support the conference center and office services teams in providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable taking direction, working independently or with internal and external teams. The individual must be resilient, proactive, situation aware and a problem solver. The work schedule may require flexibility and overtime upon occasion.
Key Responsibilities
Office Services:
Assists with managing day-to-day office operations, including handling mail, deliveries, and courier services.
Ensures office supplies are well-stocked and organized, including paper, toner, and other essentials for printers and copiers.
Maintains cleanliness and organization of shared spaces, including supply rooms and kitchens.
Provides basic troubleshooting support for office equipment (e.g., printers, copiers, scanners).
Assists with administrative tasks, such as filing, photocopying, and document organization, as needed.
Assists with set up and break down of conference rooms, including technology equipment and supplies, to meet the firm’s standards for meetings and presentations.
Hospitality Services:
Prepares conference rooms for meetings and event space including set up, tear down and reset
Ensure conference rooms and client-facing areas are impeccably clean, organized, and welcoming.
Assist with event setup and logistics for firm-wide gatherings or celebrations.
Provides routine operation and maintenance of dishwashers, refrigeration, coffee and water service equipment in beverage service areas, kitchen and lounge areas
Proficient in the ordering of food and beverages, inventory, rotating stock and food safety
Greet visitors and clients warmly, ensuring their needs are met while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Work closely with the administrative team to support firm operations and client service excellence.
Communicate effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to anticipate and address office and hospitality needs.
Provide backup support to reception or other departments during peak times or absences.

Education & Prior Experience
High School Diploma; College Degree is a plus
Minimum 1-2 years prior office services and/or hospitality experience
Technology
Computer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly
The expected pay range for this position is:
$24.80 to $26.28 per hour
Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.
