Job Overview:
Cardo Systems, the global market leader in wireless communication systems for powersports and outdoor helmets, is seeking an experienced OEM Product Manager to join our team. The role focuses on managing OEM projects, requiring strong collaboration, technical, and business skills to deliver innovative solutions for our partners. Full-time position in a hybrid model (from the company’s offices in Raanana/from home), reporting to the VP of Product Management and working closely with the VP of Business Development.
Roles & Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Development
- Contribute to the development of the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with OEM partner requirements, market demands, and business goals.
- Write detailed PRDs and align R&D, Marketing, and Operations on each project’s needs.
- Collaborate closely with the Inbound Project Managers and other internal teams to communicate product requirements and ensure technical feasibility.
- Work with marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure a unified product development and messaging approach.
- Support business development efforts by participating in product presentations and technical discussions with OEM partners.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships
- Provide OEM customers with proactive updates on product changes, firmware releases, and roadmaps.
- Work with the VP BD to structure deals that balance technical feasibility with profitability
- Own the costs of OEM products and work closely with relevant stakeholders
- Create technical documentation and training materials for the partner's distributor network, teaching them how to sell and install the integrated systems
Market Analysis
- Regularly test and evaluate competing communication systems, helmet integrations, and accessories to understand strengths, weaknesses, and differentiators.
- Stay updated on industry trends and OEM market demands.
- Use market insights to refine product positioning and enhance project strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or business. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Understanding of wireless communication technologies (Bluetooth, mesh networks, audio systems, and integrated solutions (modules)
- Proven experience in both inbound and outbound product management for at least 5 years.
- Proven track record in global OEM or B2B product management, working with external partners and manufacturers
- Experience in full product lifecycle management (concept → launch → support → end-of-life)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills (English and Hebrew) - serving as the focal point for OEM customers.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed project targets.
- Comfortable making persuasive presentations to partners.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
