The Opportunity

Our client, a local government organization, seeks an experienced OCM and Training Lead to join their Information Technology Department. The OCM and Training Lead is responsible for leading change management activities and training initiatives related to technology projects. This position ensures new business processes, technology implementations, or cultural shifts are adopted across the organization effectively. The OCM lead must monitor risks, mitigate resistance, and promote project success through communication, collaboration, and engagement with stakeholders.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement Organizational Change Management (OCM) strategies, including communication and readiness plans.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to understand new systems or processes.
  • Lead training efforts, designing and developing materials for both virtual and in-person sessions.
  • Monitor and manage areas of resistance, addressing concerns and ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Prepare stakeholders for changes by providing necessary resources and support.

Compensation and Term 

This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $75 per hour. 

Qualifications you need

A successful candidate has the following experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or a related field with a focus on software development.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading OCM activities.
  • Familiarity with managing changes associated with technology implementations.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience with creating training materials and delivering training sessions.
  • PMP, BRMP, or other PMI certifications (preferred but not required).
