Your mission
• Strategic Impact:
- Design and deploy a robust obsolescence management framework, fully aligned with project strategy and client needs, directly influencing product sustainability and customer satisfaction.
• Rules & Guidance:
- Define clear, actionable policies and processes for obsolescence management, starting in the design phase and continuing throughout the system/asset lifecycle.
- Provide expert recommendations for designers to support smart, resilient engineering choices.
• Risk Management:
- Lead proactive risk identification of current and future products, tracking, and mitigation across projects.
- Set up monitoring systems, analyze data, and present actionable insights and solutions to stakeholders.
• Cross-functional Leadership:
- Drive collaboration between engineering, procurement, support, and supplier teams to anticipate and address obsolescence issues before they impact deliveries.
• Continuous Improvement:
- Develop and maintain dynamic obsolescence management plans (OMPs), adapt processes to new technologies and market shifts, and inspire teams to embrace lifelong product management best practices.
• Innovation Catalyst:
- With other internal teams, scout alternative solutions and new suppliers, propose creative redesigns, and recommend strategic stock management to minimize impacts and costs associated with obsolescence.
We are looking forward to
- +5 years experience as an Obsolescence Manager
- Higher education in any relevant field (engineering, supply chain, quality, project management, business, …)
- Experience in complex project environments (e.g., industrial, technological, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, automotive, railways, or similar domains)
- Proven track record leading or influencing cross-functional teams and initiatives
- Fluent in French and English; additional languages appreciated
