Position Summary:

The OBGYN Physician will provide comprehensive primary and urgent care to an ethnically and socially diverse, female patient population in accordance with the values, beliefs and policies of Clinica Romero. The successful candidate will also perform routine obstetric and gynecological office procedures and follow up all abnormal pap smears.


Responsibilities:

Provides primary care services to Clinic patients including:

  • Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical histories, reports, and examination results.
  • Conducting physical examination
  • Order and interpret the results of laboratory, x-ray and other test
  • Perform routine office based obstetric and gynecological procedures including colposcopy and endometrial biopsies, etc.
  • Determine and implement appropriate courses of treatment.
  • Provide treatment plans and prescribe medications for issues/diseases of the female organs.
  • Provide care and treatment during prenatal and postnatal periods.
  • Monitor results of treatment; changing as necessary
  • Maintain accurate, complete records that comply with contracts and/or Clinica Romero policies
  • Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
  • Confer with student and resident physicians and other professional and support staff regarding care and treatment of patients and assists/mentors them in  management  of illness; serves as a resource to resolve patient/family concerns
  • Monitor and ensures compliance with clinical evidence-based guidelines for adult and pediatric health care
  • Having the ability to develop positive rapport with patients and families to foster the physician/patient relationship
  • Perform related duties as required
  • Immunize patients from communicable diseases
  • Advise patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease
  • Refer patients to medical specialist or other practitioner for specialized treatment

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Medical Degree or D.O. from an accredited school
  • Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records system; Site Specialist training preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Completed residency training in OB/GYN at an ACGME accredited school.
  • BC/BE a plus.
  • Selected applicants are subject to, and must pass, a full background check.

Skills Required

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited school
  • Completed residency training in OB/GYN at an ACGME accredited program
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records system
  • Site Specialist EPIC training
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE)
  • Successful completion of a full background check
