Must work at least 28 clinic hours a week with 2 admin hours = 30hrs/wk. Open to alternative schedules such as 12hr shift
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide full-scope OB/GYN care, including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, gynecologic, and preventive health services.
- Conduct well-woman exams, contraceptive counseling, fertility evaluations, and menopause management.
- Diagnoses and treat reproductive system disorders, infections, and other related conditions.
- Perform gynecologic procedures, including but not limited to:
- Pap smears and colposcopies
- IUD insertions and removals
- Endometrial biopsies
- Minor office-based surgical procedures
- Conduct physical examinations; determine and implement courses of treatment; monitor results of treatment and adjust as needed.
- Proactively assists the patient and family through all facets of accessing care at the Clinic and elsewhere, serving as a resource to resolve patient and family concerns.
- Participates in improving the quality of care, including participation in peer review, setting clinical standards for medical support staff, and monitoring the quality of medical services to patients.
- Responsible for coordinating medical care with internal and external medical specialties as needed
- Document all patient encounters in the electronic health record (EHR) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Follow evidence-based guidelines and clinic protocols.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, HIPAA, and organizational policies.
- Nexplanon placement and removal
- Basic obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound
Position Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency program.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Valid, unrestricted medical license in California
- DEA registration and current BLS certification
- Minimum 2+ years of OB/GYN experience preferred
- Experience working in a community clinic, FQHC, or underserved population preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and procedural skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and cultural humility.
