MercyOne is seeking a BC/BE OBGYN to join its OB Hospitalist service in Des Moines, IA. Opportunity Details
- 7 shifts per month (24-hours)
- Flexible schedule
- No call
- Care for: OBED Patients & unassigned emergent patients (vaginal deliveries and C-sections)
- 1400 annual OBED visits; 1/3rd result in Delivery
- Access to subspecialists including MFM
- Iowa’s only maternal transport team
- Adjunct Faculty Family Medicine Residency

Mercy One Des Moines Medical Center is a 622-bed Level II Trauma center that has been faithfully serving the community since 1893. Averaging 3,000 deliveries per year, MercyOne Des Moines is equipped with a 44-bed Level III NICU, an 8-bed OB ED, 15 labor suites, and 40 postpartum recovery rooms.

Skills Required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Obstetrician Gynecologist (OBGYN)
- Experience performing vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections
- Ability to manage OB ED patients and emergent/unassigned obstetric patients
- Willingness to work 24-hour hospitalist shifts (7 shifts per month)
