Job Description
Position Overview
As the O&M Manager you will Coordinate and manage all aspects of the day to day activities of technicians and contractors within the balance of plant requirements; including generation tie-line, substation, collection system, pad mounted transformers, civil works/foundations/roads, facility grounds, environmental and land owner relations.
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Responsive and able to manage to deliverables and contractual obligations, while interfacing with varying parties internally and externally with competing interests.
- Prepare and implement operating procedures, complying with company, customer, and industry standards, ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, and Local requirements.
- Operate and maintain high voltage electrical equipment through known maintenance practices.
- Climb wind turbine towers, on a limited basis, wearing all required safety equipment, to inspect equipment.
- Understand electrical and mechanical functions as well as engineering drawings of all components in the Balance of Plant system.
- Maintain inventory, tooling, facilities, equipment and parts.
- Identify, document, and communicate opportunities for operational and quality improvements.
- Obtain, compile and analyze information to properly identify course of action for proactive and reactive maintenance and repairs.
- Provide a high level of professionalism and technical expertise, while working with minimal oversight.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, budgets, labor costs and reports.
- Evaluation and supervision of contractor scope, proposals, and repair work.
- Perform required inspections and reporting in a professional and effective manner.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Knowledge of 34.5 kV and 345 kV systems including but not limited to; protection relays, padmount transformers, fault identification, maintenance requirements, NERC, OSHA and Electrical Safety requirements.
- Experience utilizing CMMS system to maintain equipment records and reporting.
- Knowledge and experience with high voltage tooling and protective equipment.
- Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance and work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet).
- Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
- Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear worn when performing job related tasks
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Able and willing to travel up to 25%.

Base Pay
Bonus: 10% - 40%
The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
