What You’ll Do:

As a Nursing Supervisor, you’ll play a meaningful role in ensuring implementation and maintenance of current best practices in the nursing department, resulting in optimum medical and psychiatric services for youth served within the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF). This role leads the integration of trauma-informed, youth-centered nursing care aligned with the requirements of the Ohio Department of Medicaid, the OhioRISE PRTF Program, and all applicable regulatory bodies. The Nursing Supervisor oversees the functioning of nurses assigned to the PRTF while ensuring continuity and coordination of care across other internal services and with outside stakeholders. The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the nursing team, ensuring youth receive high-quality, safe, and developmentally appropriate care. This individual collaborates closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent application of philosophy, policies, procedures, and strategic goals of I Am Boundless. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Current RN license in the State of Ohio.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience, with at least three (3) years of supervisory experience.  
  • One (1) year of experience in a behavioral health or psychiatric care setting, preferably with youth and/or in residential treatment.
  • BLS certification and successful completion of a behavioral health de-escalation program (both may be provided by Boundless).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a PRTF, inpatient psychiatric, or residential youth program strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in documentation systems and excellent computer skills including spreadsheets and word processing tools and the ability to learn new programs expeditiously.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills with a commitment to continuous improvement and person-centered care.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current RN license in the State of Ohio.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position is directly responsible for managing the nurses assigned to the PRTF program within I Am Boundless in the State of Ohio.

Skills Required
