Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nursing Manager to lead and support nursing operations across multiple departments within our facility. The ideal candidate is a positive, strong communicator and collaborative leader who is passionate about rural healthcare and committed to advancing clinical excellence, patient safety, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide day-to-day oversight and leadership of nursing staff and patient care services
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership and providers to optimize workflow and staffing
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Promote evidence-based practices, quality improvement initiatives, and patient satisfaction
  • Oversee scheduling, performance evaluations, and staff education/training
  • Monitors and supports staffing needs as needed.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of nursing staff
  • Participate in budgeting, policy development, and hospital committees as assigned
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to nurses across various departments
  • Participate in department quality measures, data collection and presentation.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in the State of Michigan
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience; leadership/supervisory experience required
  • Strong knowledge of rural healthcare, critical access hospital regulations, and standards of care
  • BLS required; ACLS within 6 months, PALS within 18 months
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills

Skills Required

  • Current Registered Nurse license in Michigan
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree
  • Master's degree in Nursing
  • At least 3 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Leadership or supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of rural healthcare, critical access hospital regulations, and standards of care
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification within 6 months
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 18 months
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
