Position Summary
Provides direct patient care under the direction of Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses through the nursing process according to the established policies, procedures, and guidelines of the department and hospital. Has knowledge of assigned tasks and equipment necessary to meet the specific needs of the patient population served.
QualificationsCurrently enrolled in or completion of a formal nursing assistant program; currently enrolled in a student nurse program (applicant must have one semester medical/surgical clinical experience); or at least (1) one year of previous clinical experience demonstrating competency in Nursing Assistant duties. Actively enrolled in or completion of High School or GED.
