Staff Nurse (Dermatology clinic)
St Michael's Street Shrewsbury SY1 2HE
Part time 16 hours per week
Paying 37,000.70 (Prorated: 14,800.28)
Role Overview:
As a Staff Nurse you will work as skilled member of the nursing team, to provide a high standard of holistic patient centred care. To communicate effectively at all levels with the Multidisciplinary Team and establish good relationships with patients and carers.
You will work within the clinics, providing predominantly dermatology services to NHS and private patients at St Michael’s Clinic, Shrewsbury and Donnington Medical Centre in Telford. This post will involve assisting with skin surgery procedures and dermatology clinics. It will also involve seeing patients for suture removal and wound review. Training will be provided for all roles.
What you'll do:
- Provide high standards of nursing care.
- To ensure an ongoing welcoming, caring and safe environment is provided for patients and their carer.
- Act as an advocate for patient and family, providing them with information and support and directing then to relevant support services where appropriate.
- To develop and maintain clinical skills and knowledge to provide patient centred care ensuring clinical practice is evidence based on peer reviewed best practice.
- Undertake expanded roles following appropriate training.
- Undertake nurse led procedures, suture removal/wound reviews/dressing changes.
- Prepare patient for surgical procedures.
- The Nurse will demonstrate appropriate practice and specialist advice in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience working as a Registered Nurse (2 Years plus.)
- NMC PIN registration
- Dermatology experience
- Competent with Laser Procedures (Desirable)
