Baystate Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to join our MedSurg, Telemetry & IMC team at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer, Massachusetts. Our MedSurg, Telemetry & IMC team provides high-quality care to diverse medical-surgical, telemetry, and intermediate care patient populations, working closely with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered care.
The Nurse Manager role offers the opportunity to provide clinical and operational leadership across multiple patient care areas while supporting staff development, engagement, and retention in a close-knit, community-focused hospital environment.

The Nurse Manager Will:- Provide leadership and oversight for nursing staff across MedSurg, Telemetry, and IMC units.
- Manage clinical, operational, and administrative functions of assigned departments.
- Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, evidence-based practice, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead performance improvement, quality, and patient safety initiatives.
- Support staff orientation, education, competency assessment, and professional development.
- Partner with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and improve patient throughput.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
- Oversee departmental metrics including quality, utilization, productivity, and budgeting.

- Other Scheduling Requirements: Occasional availability outside of regularly scheduled hours may be required to support staffing needs, address urgent clinical or operational issues, and provide leadership support to the department.

Required Skills- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Massachusetts required.

- Prior nursing leadership or management experience.
