We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) PRN to join our team and play a vital role in supporting clients on their recovery journey.

Essential ResponsibilitiesClinical Care
  • Complete comprehensive nursing assessments for new admissions
  • Administer medications and provide education regarding prescribed treatments
  • Monitor and manage withdrawal protocols utilizing COWS and CIWA assessment tools
  • Observe and assess client health status and respond appropriately to clinical concerns
  • Assist providers during medical evaluations and medication management appointments
  • Ensure compliance with all medication administration standards and nursing best practices
Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies
  • Follow all licensing, accreditation, and regulatory requirements
  • Complete required trainings, certifications, and continuing education
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary treatment team members
  • Communicate effectively with medical, clinical, and operational staff
  • Provide guidance, direction, and support to LPNs as needed
  • Promote a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-oriented environment
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and other nursing staff
  • Ensure nursing services are delivered in a safe, compliant, and effective manner
  • Assist in maintaining high standards of quality care and client safety
Required QualificationsEducation & Licensure
  • Current, active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Current First Aid and AED certification
Experience
  • Behavioral health, substance use treatment, detoxification, or inpatient nursing experience preferred
  • New experiences considered based on qualifications and passion for the field

Physical Requirements

This position involves fewer physical demands than many traditional nursing environments.

  • Occasional standing and walking
  • Light lifting as needed
  • No heavy lifting or extensive physical care responsibilities
  • Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations
Work Environment

This role is based within an inpatient behavioral healthcare setting serving individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders. Team members may encounter:

  • Medication administration responsibilities

  • Collaborative treatment planning environments

PRN staff may be scheduled based on program needs and staffing requirements.
