Job Description:
Under direct supervision of a registered nurse, performs select procedures and treatments. Maintains patient care units in orderly condition and assists RN as requested. This is a per diem position with variable shifts that is 1- year long beginning June, 2026.
Job Responsibility
- Assists Registered Nurse by performing selected procedures and treatments.
- Documents the patient’s medical record under the supervision of designated RN and report any abnormal findings to RN.
- Performs treatments, i.e. dressing changes, pressure ulcer care, trach care, suctioning and records results under supervision of RN.
- Takes and records temperature, pulse, respirations, weight and blood pressure.
- Administers enemas/high colonies and records results.
- Checks potency of drainage tubes (folly catheter, NG tubes) and records results.
- Assists with tube feedings after validation of tube placement by RN.
- Strips patient units and equipment upon discharge and prepares room for new admission and postoperative patients.
- Transports and accompanies patients to various departments, as directed.

Job Qualification
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited BSN program graduating May, 2027- December, 2028 required.
