Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative NPI Engineer to join our dynamic team. The NPI Engineer will be responsible for managing the introduction of new products into the manufacturing environment, ensuring that all engineering and operational requirements are met. This role involves collaboration across multiple departments, including product development, manufacturing and quality assurance.
*Key Responsibilities:*
- Lead the NPI process from concept to production, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential challenges and solutions in the production process.
- Create and optimize manufacturing processes and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with R&D to ensure product designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
- Support the development of product specifications, test plans, and validation protocols.
- Train manufacturing staff on new processes, equipment, and quality standards associated with new products.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements throughout the NPI process.
- Document all processes, changes, and improvements to maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
- Proven experience in NPI, product development, or manufacturing engineering.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and project management methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various teams.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is a plus.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
mechanical design and 3d software tools are a plus.
PCBA design and CAD layout SW such as OrCAD and allegro are a plus.
