AIG underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber and Multinational Clients. How you will create an impact
- Manages all Underwriting within Northeast region.
- Within region(s), establishes, implements and evaluates the production and profitability goals.
- Direct accountability for the business results of their region(s) with respect to profitability, penetration and/or volume within Energy.
- Drive and execute the long-term business strategy for Northeast Energy.
- Serve as a technical expert, exercising technical authority with regards to Energy.
- Manage annual budget process for Energy.
- Within Northeast, manage monthly forecasts for Energy.
- In collaboration the leadership and HR, implement tools and strategies to attract and retain top industry talent and develop high performing teams.
- Identify areas/positions within Northeast that lack sufficient bench strength, and employees who require additional skills to fill those needs; develop and execute development/training/recruiting platforms/plans to address the deficiencies.
- Establish strong relationships with zonal leadership; create mutual understanding of overall parameters and goals to drive effective execution of business model.
- Interact with all levels of Insurance community.
- Drive a culture that promotes collaboration, diversity, and inclusion.
- Oversee all underwriters within Northeast including managing and evaluating work of staff; makes decisions regarding pay, performance management, development, employment, and staffing.
- Ensures the required standards of governance, systems and controls, and regulatory compliance are established and maintained.

- Experience with budgeting and expense control.
For positions based in New York, the base salary range is $176,000-$220,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
