Job Overview
A Digital Assets Platform Blockchain Engineer must be a motivated and proactive hands-on software engineer (Back End, Java Focus), with demonstrated ability and experience working with web applications in production.
We are looking for candidates who understand how to build the backend of enterprise grade applications. The successful individual should have foundational knowledge of web3 infrastructure, blockchain technology and digital assets, and must be a solid enterprise developer of web applications. Exposure to web3 application development is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be handling the following (but not limited to) responsibilities:
Collaborate with team members on implementation approaches for web applications leveraging blockchain technology
Contribute to the delivery of functional scope for applications leveraging blockchain technology, meeting established quality standards
Support solution engineering efforts to meet stakeholder requirements and expectationsApply best practices and common design patterns for enterprise applicationsUse collaborative tools to manage and deliver work effectively within a distributed team
Contribute to and maintain technical documentation for code and applications built and maintained
Operate as a strong team player and communicate effectively within a distributed team
Help identify, resolve, and escalate issues as needed to support timely, on-budget, and quality project delivery
Qualifications / Experience
Bachelor's degree in CS or Engineering; MS in computer science or a related discipline is a plus 4 to 7 years of experience in the full software development lifecycle. Experience from the financial services industry is a plus
3 to 5 years of experience and expertise with backend web development using Core Java Spring boot :• Must have good working Experience on Rest APIs, Spring boot, JPA/Hibernate, Kafka/JMS, Kubernetes• Must have good working Experience on SQL/No SQL, Mongo DB
• Must have good working knowledge on any of the lifecycle management tools like JIRA, Git, GitHub/ Bitbucket, Eclipse/ IntelliJ IDE
• Working knowledge in at least one of the Cloud - AWS/ Azure
Up to 2 years of experience in blockchain-specific applications
Strong understanding of distributed ledger technologies, consensus algorithms, and P2P networks.Strong grasp of consensus mechanisms (PoW, PoS), cryptographic principles, and zer knowledge proofFamiliarity with best practices and patterns for reliability, scalability, and performance
Familiarity with common and best practices for web3 applications is a plus
Familiarity with DevOps basics and containerized applications is a plus
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- 4 to 7 years in full software development lifecycle
- 3 to 5 years backend development using Core Java and Spring Boot
- Experience building REST APIs
- Experience with JPA/Hibernate
- Experience with Kafka or JMS
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with MongoDB
- Familiarity with lifecycle tools: JIRA, Git, GitHub or Bitbucket, Eclipse or IntelliJ
