Job summary

The Night Shift Team Leader will be leading, driving, developing and supporting The Night Shift team across the Warehouse Operation and Configuration centre, within a fast paced, highly dynamic environment. High standards are required to ensure products are received by customers' right first time, on time. The Team leader will be accountable for ensuring processes are followed, reviewed, improved and amended. Working alongside the team to drive results, engage, motivate, support and develop a highly professional team.

Shift pattern

Sunday to Thursday - 21:45 to 06:15

Potential to increase take home pay with Overtime regularly available

What Success looks like

  • Positive engagement with supporting roles, ensuring the smooth and efficient workflow within the LTC centre
  • Coworkers Goals and Target are met, through proactive engagement with the team and the wider operation to ensure standards are maintained and met
  • Reporting accurate data and information to the team, leadership and the wider team
  • Leading from the front, working alongside Coworkers to show best practice and champion organised and efficient working
  • The team is engaged, motivated, well-trained, and consistently performing at a high level
  • Consistently maintain and contribute to a clean, tidy, and organised working environment through leading by example in accordance with business standards
  • Maintain a low number of errors, proactively identifying potential issues and following standard operating procedures.

What you will be doing

  • Drive, organise and direct the physical workflow of the Configuration Centre and Warehouse Operation
  • Ensuring processes are always followed, provide the best efficiency and accuracy possible and are continuously reviewed.
  • Hygiene, Health and Safety
  • Stock Checking and order quality control checks
  • Support workload allocation and prioritises. Ensuring deadlines, urgent requirements, and customer expectations are met
  • Support project scheduling and resource planning to ensure clear expectations and achievable timescales

  • Work closely with other Team Leaders to ensure smooth flow of orders and materials
  • Establish and maintain excellent internal and external service levels
  • Identify skills gaps and work with the Shift Leadership and The Development Team to address training needs
  • Step into other operational roles when required, supporting wider team delivery and personal development
  • Provide KPI reporting and operational cover in the absence of the Supervisor
  • Promote continuous improvement and development of the team and department in line with business needs and targets

What we expect of you

Required experience

  • Previous experience leading a team
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, preferably including Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer and sales facing with the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with both
  • Ensuring quality standards are always met

Desirable experience

  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Previous configuration experience.
  • Experience with system-based order management.
