About NEXUM Software
NEXUM Software provides invoice-to-cash solutions that help large corporates, professional services firms, and business process outsourcers optimise cashflow and improve operational efficiency. Our platform supports complex, high-volume processes and is trusted in business-critical environments. NEXUM is part of Banyan Software, a global software group with operations across Europe, North America, South America, and Asia. While NEXUM operates as a focused, autonomous business, we benefit from the stability, long-term outlook, and international presence of the wider Banyan group. Our SaaS based solutions are delivered through secure hosted environments, including multi-tenant platforms and dedicated single-tenant deployments, depending on client requirements.
Formed in 2005, we are an established and growing business with a pragmatic, delivery-focused culture, and a long-standing client base.
The Role
We are looking for a Software Implementation & Deployment Specialist to support and deliver the technical onboarding of NEXUM for new and existing clients. This is a hands-on role, working closely with senior team members, support, and development. You will be involved in configuring environments, supporting data migrations, assisting with go-lives, and helping ensure clients are successfully onboarded onto the platform.
This is not a software development role and not general IT support. It is a specialist role focused on software deployment, implementation quality, and client readiness.
What You Will Be Doing
• You will work on NEXUM implementations for new and existing clients, covering installations, environment changes, and module configuration.
• You will assist with provisioning and configuring hosted environments across NEXUM's multi-tenant and dedicated single-tenant platforms.
• You will support version upgrades, including running, creating, and amending SQL scripts, validating outcomes, and working with internal teams where issues arise.
• You will deploy and configure web applications using Microsoft IIS, including application pools, site bindings, and SSL.
• You will configure and support integrations with third-party systems via REST APIs, working from integration specifications and testing connectivity and data flow.
• You will support data migration activities using Microsoft SQL Server, including running scripts, validating data, and escalating issues where required.
• You will assist with system configuration, user setup, permissions, and client-specific settings.
• You will support testing, user acceptance phases, and go-live activities.
• You will maintain clear documentation of implementation steps and client-specific configurations.
• You will provide support following go-live and assist with investigating technical issues that arise from installations and upgrades, whether immediately after delivery or further down the line.
• You will look for opportunities to improve and streamline implementation processes, and act on them.
• You will gradually take ownership of smaller or less complex implementations as your experience grows.
Essential Experience and Skills
• Experience in a software implementation, deployment, or technical support role within a B2B or SaaS environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including writing and amending T-SQL scripts as well as executing them and supporting data migrations.
• Hands-on experience configuring Microsoft IIS for web application deployment, including application pools, site bindings, and SSL.
• A working understanding of REST APIs and system integrations — you do not need to be a developer, but you should be comfortable reading integration documentation, configuring connections, and diagnosing issues.
• Experience working with hosted or SaaS platforms, with exposure to multi-tenant or client-specific environments.
• Experience supporting Windows-based applications or server environments.
• A basic understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, VPNs, and secure access, SFTP, and SMTP/mail relay configuration.
• Good troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem solving.
• Clear communication with both technical colleagues and non-technical users.
• A curious, hands-on approach — someone who digs into problems and looks for better ways of doing things.
• A willingness to take ownership and grow into a more senior implementation role over time.
Nice to Have
• Experience working with legal, financial services, or regulated customers.
• Basic scripting or automation experience, for example PowerShell.
• Experience supporting system integrations or data imports.
Qualifications
A degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline is desirable but not essential. Practical experience and the ability to demonstrate real-world implementation work counts for more.
What Success Looks Like
• Client implementations are delivered smoothly and with good support.
• Data migrations are accurate and well validated.
• Implementation tasks are completed reliably and documented clearly.
• Clients feel supported and prepared during onboarding and go-live.
• You continue to grow in confidence and responsibility within the implementation function.
