NewsNation is looking for a Special Projects Coordinator to support NewsNation’s Programming and Specials. The Special Projects Coordinator supports the planning, execution, and delivery of programming and projects for the network and digital properties reporting to the NewsNation’s President of Programming & Specials. The ideal candidate has newsroom, or production experience, is comfortable in a dynamic fast-paced and high-volume environment. This person will work with network senior leadership and coordinate with editorial leaders across the network’s different offices.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Assist in planning and coordinating creative projects
· Schedule and organize meetings, including preparing agendas, capturing meeting notes, and tracking follow-up actions
· Provide administrative and operational support to network leadership and editorial leaders
· Serve as a liaison and resource for different departments
· Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in journalism, or a related field
· Experience providing executive-level support and or project management
· Strong sense of discretion and professionalism
· Be a self-starter able to work individually or with teams
· Familiarity with news programming and content
· Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
· Ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally with teams across multiple locations
· Ability to adapt to change, meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
· Flexibility to work different shifts
Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 (commensurate with experience)
