WKBN-TV is looking for an energetic, creative Full-Time News Producer with strong news judgment, solid writing skills, and a passion to win. We’re seeking a journalist who goes beyond stacking a rundown—someone who finds original content and tells meaningful stories in compelling ways across broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms.

This role produces daily newscasts and contributes to WKBN+, our growing digital streaming platform, helping shape how we tell stories across multiple screens.

We’re looking for a motivated, organized producer who thrives under deadline pressure, thinks beyond the obvious, and is driven to land the big story. You should be passionate about local news and committed to telling the stories that matter most to our community.

Youngstown offers great food, great people, and access to Ohio’s largest metro park. Pittsburgh and Cleveland are each about an hour away.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and produce engaging newscasts and streaming content
  • Write, edit, and organize stories for newscasts
  • Pitch original story ideas and contribute to editorial decision-making
  • Monitor scanners, phones, social, and digital sources for breaking news
  • Collaborate with anchors, MMJs, and newsroom staff daily
