We are looking for an experienced New Product Introduction Manager to oversee the sourcing and procurement of materials and services essential for the development of our new products. The NPI Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, ensuring project readiness and managing supplier relationships to ensure the availability of high-quality materials at optimal costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, supply chain management, and operations, with a proven track record of driving cost savings and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an accurate Costed Bill of Materials for all development product SKUs
  • Work with our manufacturing partners during the Development Phase to ensure material supply for all trial builds as well as mass production launch.
  • Develop and implement commodity sourcing strategies to meet operational needs and cost targets for new products
  • Communicate with stakeholders and management to ensure timelines and milestones are met. Escalating or reprioritizing when necessary.
  • Recommend second source and cost reductions during the development phase
  • Develop Long-term Road maps for key components
  • Develop estimates for future projects which are in planning phase using input from Product, Marketing, and Device teams.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and terms
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and meet their sourcing needs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, economics, or a similar field.
  • Minimum four years' experience in supply chain, commodity management or project management
  • Experience with launching new products
  • Knowledge of financial markets and dynamics that influence electronic product prices.
  • Experience working with consumer commodities (electronics, mechanical components, tooling, etc.)
  • Solid risk management skills. Identifying risks and establishing mitigation plans.
  • Good negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work well with others from various departments.
  • Interest and personal experience with outdoor sporting activities a plus.
