Our interns partner with teams across DISH working to drive our latest game-changing innovation. Our internship is a 10 week, in-person experience that is paid hourly with eligible overtime. Interns are given a business project(s) to complete over the summer and present their results to leadership and their peers. DISH provides each intern with a manager and a mentor to support them with the execution of their project.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Dish Technologies is seeking a Junior Software Developer who will develop automated test scripts to enhance, test and debug various features of satellite receivers and other streaming media devices. The Automated Testing team utilizes Python and other programming languages in conjunction with many other satellite communication technologies. The Junior Software Developer will also be responsible for various types of testing.
Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:
- Develop automated test scripts to enhance, test and debug various features of satellite receivers and other streaming media devices utilizing programming languages and many other satellite communication technologies.
- Develop test plans and implement them for testing code
- Solve technical problems with little supervision
- Work as part of a team on large scope projects
- Document code concepts and implementation/test details
Skills, Experience and Requirements
The successful Junior Software Developer will have the following:
- Associate's degree in Computer Science or similar degree, or attending college in a degree program with familiarity in two or more of the following:
- Unix or Linux
- C or C++ Programming
- Java Programming
- Python
- College GPA must be 3.0 or higher.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years' experience in development using JavaScript or JSON
- Experience with multi-threaded programming is a plus

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
