The Process Engineering team develops, optimizes, and sustains manufacturing processes that enable high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective semiconductor products. The team partners closely with manufacturing, equipment, quality, and supplier organizations to drive continuous improvement, reduce operational risk, and support new product introductions across production sites.
As a Process Engineer, you will support the startup, development, optimization, and continuous improvement of semiconductor assembly manufacturing processes. This role is responsible for identifying and resolving process-related issues, improving yield and productivity, supporting product qualifications, and enhancing manufacturing efficiency. Success in this position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective multi-functional collaboration, and the ability to leverage AI-Enabled tools and data-driven approaches to improve operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve assembly process issues using structured problem-solving methodologies such as failure analysis, FMEA, 8D, SPC/FDC, and statistical analysis techniques.
- Coordinate and execute process, equipment, and material evaluations; implement and validate process changes that improve quality, yield, reliability, and productivity.
- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield enhancement, cost reduction, manufacturing efficiency, and risk mitigation.
- Validate and deploy qualified process baselines, including new processes, materials, and equipment, to support new product introductions and site-to-site portability.
- Leverage AI-Enabled tools, AI-Assisted analytics, and manufacturing data to support process monitoring, root cause analysis, decision-making, and continuous improvement activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, process engineering, assembly operations, or a related high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience applying structured problem-solving methodologies, including FMEA, 8D, failure analysis, SPC, or statistical data analysis.
- Experience supporting process qualification, yield improvement, process optimization, or cost reduction initiatives.
- Proficiency with data analytics tools and AI-Enabled ways of working to support engineering and operational decision-making.
