The Opportunity
The Rimes Technologies Infrastructure Team is the very heart of the Technology Organization, its primary objectives to ensure that the Technology in use by Rimes customers is innovative, reliable, performant, scalable and secure. Delivering a world-class customer experience for both our external and internal users across the Rimes organisation.
We operate global services; our teams are both passionate and committed to the demands of our customers ensuring that we are both innovative and proactive in delivering the technology and mission critical data within SLA. Rimes delivers its technology from both our own data centre and the Cloud.
We are currently recruiting for a Network and Cloud engineer to join our global Technology team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established firm with a global presence and significant growth potential.
As a Network & Cloud Engineer you will:
- Work with our technical lead for network and cloud operations as well as cross-team projects.
- Support both project-based and BAU network and cloud operations, ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of existing services
- Engage with external vendors and service providers to support delivery, troubleshoot issues, coordinate maintenance activities, and ensure service quality
- Be at the forefront of Rimes engineering capabilities. You will participate in architectural decision-making, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and driving the adoption of best practices in network and cloud operations management.
- Optimise data centre infrastructure to improve performance, utilisation, availability and security, whilst controlling costs.
- Maintain observability best practices to measure compliance with Rimes SLOs.
Who you are:
Core requirements -
- Strong networking knowledge, including configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco and HP networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls – Palo Alto).
- Microsoft Azure experience, particularly in networking (e.g. VNets, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups).
- Hands-on experience supporting physical data centres, including hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with structured cabling, including hands-on work with fibre optic cabling (installation, patching, testing, and fault resolution).
- Good understanding of DNS, DHCP, VPN, Active Directory, and Windows Server.
- Prior experience or exposure to Cloudflare is beneficial in particular SSL Remote VPN
- Understanding of security best practices, including identification and remediation of network and infrastructure vulnerabilities, as well as supporting vulnerability assessments and audit activities.
- Ability to follow change management processes and effectively communicate across teams, clearly articulating technical issues and proposed solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Support out-of-hours work when required, including network migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and participation in on-call support rotations.
Relevant Certifications, such as -
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
- CompTIA Network+ or Security+ (optional but beneficial)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Work Environment & Schedule:
We offer a hybrid work setup with in-office attendance twice or thrice a week, Following the 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Manila local time) work schedule.

Skills Required
