Role Purpose

The Networking & Security Specialist – Core Infrastructure Services is responsible for the operational management, availability, security, performance, and continuous improvement of the foundational network services that enable reliable and secure enterprise connectivity globally.

The role owns and supports core network infrastructure platforms including:

• DNS
• DHCP
• IP Address Management (IPAM)
• TACACS
• RADIUS
• Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
• Network Access Control (NAC)
• Proxy Services
• SolarWinds
• Syslog Infrastructure
• NetFlow & Traffic Analysis Platforms
• Cloudflare Core Infrastructure Services

The specialist works closely with network operations teams, security teams, cloud teams, service providers, and platform owners to ensure the stability, security, scalability, and compliance of these critical services across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. These responsibilities align with the Network Services scope covering DNS, DHCP, IPAM, authentication services, network visibility, and supporting infrastructure platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Core Network Services

• Administer and maintain global DNS infrastructure and services.
• Manage enterprise DHCP services and address allocation standards.
• Own and maintain IP Address Management (IPAM) platforms and data accuracy.
• Support lifecycle management of DDI platforms.
• Configure and maintain proxy services supporting secure connectivity.
• Ensure high availability, resiliency, and performance of core infrastructure services.
• Support migration, consolidation, and modernization initiatives for network infrastructure platforms.

Authentication & Access Services

• Administer TACACS authentication services for network device management.
• Manage RADIUS infrastructure supporting wireless and network authentication.
• Operate and maintain Cisco ISE environments.
• Support Network Access Control (NAC) services and policy enforcement.
• Maintain authentication integrations with identity platforms and Active Directory services.
• Support secure access controls and role-based administration.

Monitoring, Visibility & Observability

• Manage and maintain SolarWinds platforms and associated monitoring systems.
• Support Syslog infrastructure and log collection platforms.
• Administer NetFlow, IPFIX, and traffic analysis solutions.
• Monitor network service health, performance, utilization, and capacity.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and operational insights.
• Support observability initiatives to improve operational visibility and proactive issue detection.

Infrastructure Operations

• Support platform upgrades, patching, lifecycle management, and vulnerability remediation.
• Execute configuration management and compliance activities.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, diagrams, standards, and SOPs.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Perform root-cause analysis for recurring infrastructure issues.
• Ensure platform compliance with cybersecurity and operational standards.
• Drive automation and self-healing initiatives across supported platforms.

Vendor & Service Management

• Work with managed service providers and vendors to resolve operational issues.
• Participate in supplier governance and service review activities.
• Review platform performance and recommend improvements.
• Support technology evaluations and roadmap initiatives.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in enterprise network infrastructure operations.
• Experience managing DNS, DHCP, IPAM, authentication services, and network observability platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across network infrastructure and authentication services.
• Experience supporting large-scale global enterprise environments.
• Experience working with managed service providers and multi-vendor environments.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure network design.
