Job DescriptionLink Solutions is seeking a Networking Administrator (Intermediate-Level) to join our team at Adelphi, MD.

The Networking Administrator position will require an understanding of enterprise network architecture, Layer 2/3 switching, routing protocols, and network security standards. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, performance, and security of the network infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage network performance, availability, and security.
- Implement and enforce network security procedures and best practices to comply with DoD regulations.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot network-related software and hardware systems, including Layer 2/3 switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and encryption devices.
- Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
- Work with IP-based networking environments, including IPv4/IPv6 and IPSec VPNs.
- Maintain knowledge of and apply standards related to 802.1x, 802.11, MAC bridging, traffic management, and data encryption.
- Evaluate, develop, and sustain telecommunications infrastructure and ensure conformance with organizational IT policies and objectives.
- Train users on basic network operations and escalate advanced issues to senior personnel when necessary.

Qualifications- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance
- Must have an AA in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or two (2+) years of relevant experience working in an IT enterprise network engineering field..
- IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
- Must have CompTIA Network+ or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or equivalent.
- Proven leadership in managing complex network environments, including DoD networks.
- Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), security standards (802.1X, 802.11, MAC bridging), and media access control systems.
- Demonstrated experience in network segmentation, traffic management, and secure network architecture design.
- In-depth knowledge of network tools, monitoring platforms, and documentation best practices.
- Ability to plan and implement large-scale network configurations and upgrades while minimizing downtime.
Preferred:
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 certification
- Experience with incident management within the ServiceNow Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) platform.
- Familiarity with NIST, STIG, RMF, and Federal Information Systems Controls.
- Working knowledge of hardware configuration management tools and logistics tracking systems.
- Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.
- Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
- A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
- Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Salary Range: $51,000 - $86,000
Several factors influence the final salary or hourly rate, including but not limited to contract wage determinations, relevant work experience, role-specific skills and competencies, geographic location, educational background, certifications, and federal government contract labor categories.
