Purpose of Position:
The Network Systems Administrator is responsible for the operability, integration and physical integrity of several of the company’s network related systems through their lifecycle. This includes the physical cable infrastructure and data room organisation, to the optimisation of logical systems. The System Administrator shall also manage vendor relationships, project work, and standards, ensuring that the backbone of the company’s digital infrastructure is robust, scalable and well maintained.
Main Responsibilities include:
Network Systems
- Administer all MIA ICT cable infrastructure, Data Centres and Data Rooms
- Administer all two-way Radio Systems
- Administer the airfield’s Instrument Landing System
- Assist other System Administrators on ELV & Security Systems
- Other network related systems as assigned from time-to-time
Administration
- Administer all MIA ICT cable infrastructure, Data Centres and Data Rooms
- Administer all two-way Radio Systems
- Administer the airfield’s Instrument Landing System
- Assist other System Administrators on ELV & Security Systems
- Other network related systems as assigned from time-to-time
- ·To be familiar with ICAO, EASA and WMO recommendations associated with the relevant section.
- Liaise with the Network subcontractors, vendors, and support service desks to design, install, configure, and maintain network systems under responsibility.
- Coordinate project work related to the Networks section.
- Administer the network physical infrastructure including Datacentres, communication rooms, fibre-optic and structured cabling infrastructure including patch management.
- Supervise installations for any new project or upgrade that falls within the remit of the Network Services section.
- Stay up to date with new Networks technology, perform market research on new technologies and maintain specialist knowledge on aviation and Network systems.
The Networks Administrator shall perform any other duties and/or related tasks on Network Systems and Services as may be designated by the Company from time to time.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Networks, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in network administration, data centres, structured cabling, and fibre-optic infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of network systems, communication rooms, patch management, and two-way radio systems.
- Experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure and related systems.
- Ability to coordinate projects and liaise effectively with contractors, vendors, and support service providers.
- Knowledge of ICAO, EASA, and WMO standards and regulations applicable to aviation systems would be considered an asset.
- Professional networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+, together with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, will be considered an advantage.

Skills Required
