About the opportunity
Ericsson is looking for a Network Solutions Intern to join a collaborative technical team supporting the analysis, design, integration, and improvement of telecom network solutions. This internship is suited to a curious and motivated student who wants hands-on exposure to network technologies, solution delivery, automation, and technical problem-solving.
Working with experienced engineers and solution specialists, you will contribute to defined activities, build practical knowledge, and develop an understanding of how network solutions are planned, implemented, tested, documented, and continuously improved.
What you will do
  • Support network solution analysis, planning, design, integration, and documentation under guidance.
  • Assist with reviewing technical requirements, solution specifications, network diagrams, and implementation plans.
  • Participate in configuration, testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities in lab or customer-like environments.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze network or project data to identify issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop or maintain simple scripts, dashboards, or automation tools that improve engineering efficiency.
  • Prepare technical documentation, status updates, test results, and knowledge-sharing materials
  • Collaborate with network engineers, solution architects, project teams, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and track actions.
  • Follow Ericsson processes, security requirements, quality standards, and health, safety, and well-being expectations.
  • Demonstrate a learning mindset by seeking feedback and continuously building technical and professional capability.

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
  • Foundational understanding of computer networking, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and common network services.
  • Interest in telecom networks, cloud and connectivity technologies, network automation, or digital infrastructure.
  • Basic programming or scripting capability, preferably in Python, PowerShell, or a similar language.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation and communicate information clearly.
  • Analytical, organized, and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively, ask questions, and learn from experienced colleagues.
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks responsibly and deliver work within agreed timelines.
  • Academic, laboratory, or project experience involving network configuration, simulation, virtualization, Linux, APIs, or automation.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Git, Wireshark, packet-analysis utilities, network simulators, or cloud platforms.
  • Relevant coursework, certifications, or extracurricular projects in networking or telecommunications.
  • Minimum number of hours: 400 hours
