As a Network Security Engineer (L2) at NTT DATA, you will play an essential role in maintaining our clients' IT infrastructure and systems. Your expertise will help keep everything running smoothly by proactively monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving technical incidents and problems. You'll be the go-to person to restore services and ensure our clients' satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for day-to-day firewall operations, incident response, and change management support.
- Monitor, configure, and maintain Palo Alto NGFWs, including policy changes, NAT, VPN tunnels, and rule base management.
- Support Azure Firewall, NSGs, and Application Gateway WAF configurations.
- Manage AWS Security Groups, NACLs, and assist in AWS Network Firewall operations.
- Perform L2-level troubleshooting for firewall connectivity, security events, and network anomalies.
- Analyse traffic logs and firewall alerts to identify and escalate potential threats.
- Perform firewall firmware upgrades, patches, and configuration hardening.
- Perform regular firewall rule reviews and ensure compliance with security policies.
- Document incidents, configuration changes, and operational procedures.
- Generate reports on firewall utilization, security alerts, and network events.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in network security operations.
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls (PAN-OS) and basic policy management.
- Experience with Azure Firewall, NSGs, and basic cloud network security tasks.
- Experience with AWS Security Groups, NACLs, or AWS Network Firewall.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, routing, switching, and network segmentation.
- Familiarity with firewall monitoring tools and log analysis.
- Certifications preferred:
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Associate (PCCSA) or PCNSA
- Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
- AWS Certified Security Specialty
