Sime Darby Industrial Sdn Bhd1. Collaborate with all functions within Technology team to define, design, implement, and support the business’ and Digital and Technology’s strategy roadmap.
2. Design, implement, document and maintain LANs, WANs, SD-WAN environments and other network topologies.
3. Building the network related knowledge base for SDI, ensuing all documentations on the network setups, procedures, troubleshooting manuals and lesson learnt are in place.
4. Implement network related projects that promote scalable, resilient and flexible solutions to address both new and ongoing IT challenges.
5. Proactively identify and propose improvements on network connectivity, redundancy, routing and more. Review and identify any single points of failures, performance bottlenecks, excessive inter-dependencies and propose actionable improvements.
6. Effectively implement network services, hardware and tooling, ensuring they adhere to best practices for availability, capacity, cost optimisation, operations, and security based on the business’ needs.
7. Act as the technical point of contact between service providers, managing incidents, changes, performance and SLAs.
8. Provide expert knowledge and advanced problem management skills to various business scenarios that required technical delivery.
9. Collaborations with Sime Darby Group wide IT teams and other IT professionals, such as but not limited to system administrators and security specialists, to maintain a cohesive IT environment.
10. Oversee the planning, installation, maintenance and acceptance of new and updated infrastructure components and infrastructure-based services that align to service expectations, security requirements and other quality standards.
11. Support projects or change initiatives through the preparation of technical plans and align solutions with enterprise and solution architecture standards, including security.
12. Travelling to SDI branches across regions will be required.
13. Ensure the execution and continuous improvement of operational duties.
