The Network Engineer will Design, Implement, and Manage our Hosting services Network Infrastructure. This position entails leading new network architecture blueprints, projects, mentoring network engineers and ensuring the organisation's networks operate efficiently, securely and reliably.

This position is part of our Engineering team which handles all Technical Operations, from 24/7 NOC, DevOps, SRE, Cloud and Network Infrastructure.

The Engineering team is responsible to provide Managed Services for our customers, including architecture and implementation of complex solutions, configuration of new customer environments and daily operations and maintenance of our infrastructure. 

Key Responsibilities
• Design, collaborate with stakeholders, project manage and implement complex technical solutions with high availability and reliability
• Design and manage core network routing configuration and customer segregation
• Design and manage network security solutions, such as firewalls, DDoS protection and VPNs
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues with minimal downtime
• Develop and implement network automation to improve change control, efficiency and reduce overheads
• Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations and extensions
• Monitor network performance and implement improvements for optimal efficiency
• Manage and mitigate risks identified through vulnerability and audit assessments
• Collaborate effectively with other teams to ensure projects and key deliverables are executed in a timely manner
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date network designs, configurations and asset inventory
• Stay abreast on emerging technologies and recommend their adoption where applicable
• Coach and mentor other network engineers

You should be highly experienced in the following areas
• Routing/Switching/Firewalling using technology stacks from leading brands such as Cisco and Juniper
• Overall Internet Routing
• Dynamic Routing such as BGP and OSPF
• DDoS protections
• Software Defined Networking
• Automation
