We’re looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager for Payments to lead a team of 12 talented engineers in building scalable, high-performance systems. About the Role

As an Engineering Manager, you will:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring the delivery of innovative, scalable, and maintainable solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Drive technical excellence by promoting best practices, resolving complex challenges, and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Act as a bridge between technical teams and stakeholders, aligning technical roadmaps with business goals while communicating risks and opportunities effectively.
  • Focus on team growth, ensuring engineers have the tools, guidance, and support to excel in their roles.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership
  • Guide the team in designing and developing scalable, secure, and reliable payment systems.
  • Oversee system architecture, balancing innovation with maintainability and performance.
  • Ensure smooth execution of complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Champion best practices, testing, and quality assurance in all deliverables.
Team Management
  • Mentor, coach, and grow engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and innovation.
  • Provide clear feedback, career guidance, and motivation to help team members excel.
  • Build cohesion across frontend and backend squads, ensuring alignment on goals and delivery.
Strategic & Operational Excellence
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical roadmaps aligned with business goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement in workflows, observability, and incident management.
  • Balance priorities between new feature development, system maintenance, and bug fixing.

Requirements

Technical Skills
  • Strong expertise in React, Tailwind, Angular, C#, .NET, SQL, MongoDB, Kafka.

  • Familiarity with financial/booking systems.
  • Knowledge of microservices, event-driven systems, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Solid grounding in CI/CD, test automation, and Agile practices.
