We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer with solid expertise in next generation Data Center and Enterprise Network environments. The role requires hands on technical depth across ACI, SD WAN, advanced Routing & Switching, and Cisco Nexus/Catalyst platforms, along with the ability to lead P1/P2 incident troubleshooting and war room operations.
You will collaborate closely with ISPs, onsite teams, project and design functions, and play a key role in major changes, project delivery, and operational excellence initiatives. The role also involves mentoring engineers, maintaining high quality documentation, and supporting the adoption of new and emerging network technologies.
This position offers exposure to a rich and diverse technology ecosystem, including Wireless, F5, ACI, Meraki, ISE, Proxies, Gigamon, IXIA, Arbor, and Cloudflare.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and support Data Center and Enterprise network operations, with solid hands on experience in ACI, SD WAN, and advanced Routing & Switching
- Act as a technical escalation point for P1/P2 incidents, driving root cause analysis and leading war room troubleshooting calls
- Configure, operate, and troubleshoot Cisco Nexus and Catalyst platforms, including protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, STP, and VTP
- Utilize enterprise monitoring and visibility tools such as NNMi, Splunk, NA/NFA, Grafana, ThousandEyes, DNAC, APIC, vManage, and OpenView
- Follow and enforce ITIL aligned operational processes, including Incident and Change Management
- Support critical network changes, maintenance activities, and project implementations with minimal service disruption
- Collaborate with ISPs, vendors, and onsite customer teams, ensuring clear communication and timely issue resolution
- Work with design and project teams to translate operational requirements into actionable deliverables (e.g., Shift Left initiatives)
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and network standards
- Mentor junior engineers and actively support the adoption of emerging, automation driven, and SDN based technologies
- Contribute to operational improvements through automation, analytics, and AI assisted network operations where applicable
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Graduate degree or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree (B.Tech or equivalent) with 8+ years of experience in Enterprise and Data Center Network Operations, supporting 24×7×365 production environments
- CCNP certification (CCIE certification preferred)
- Solid hands on experience with high end network hardware, including Cisco Nexus switches, enterprise routers, and switching platforms
- Experience in network solution design, including campus or real estate infrastructure projects, capacity planning, and scalability assessments
- Proven track record in incident, change, and problem management (INC), including handling high severity issues under strict SLA commitments
- Demonstrated ability to engage with ISPs, vendors, and onsite customers, backed by solid verbal, written, and technical communication skills
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts and participate in on call support as part of a 24×7 operations model.
Preferred Qualification:
- Working knowledge of Data Center infrastructure and virtualization technologies
