Telesign is looking for a highly collaborative, results-oriented Network Engineer to help shape the future of our infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings initiative, ownership, and a strong aptitude for problem-solving in a fast-moving, ever-evolving technology environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a global network backbone that underpins mission-critical services. You will work closely with network architects and engineers to deliver a secure, high-performance, and scalable platform that spans cloud and on-premises environments.
This role requires availability to work a second shift schedule, from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM, with occasional on-calls.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support secure and highly available network solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Collaborate with the global network engineering team and operations architects on infrastructure improvements.
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN solutions (Palo Alto, Cisco, F5).
- Monitor network performance and availability using performance and alerting tools.
- Investigate and resolve network incidents using logs, packet captures, and root cause analysis.
- Coordinate with security, system, and database teams to ensure end-to-end reliability and compliance.
- Apply DevOps principles to support automation, continuous improvement, and infrastructure as code.
- Provide technical guidance and documentation to internal teams and customer support as needed.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to escalations according to schedule.
- Contribute to vendor management and escalation processes for network-related services.
- Maintain network security in alignment with Telesign security team guidelines and policies.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in network engineering or administration within multi-tiered, distributed systems.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VLANs, NAT/PAT, VPNs, DNS, ARP, and TLS/SSL.
- Proficient with the configuration and operation of Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco routers/switches, and F5 load balancers.
- Experience with HA design, firewall ACLs, IPsec tunnels, and failover configurations.
- Proficient in using network monitoring, diagnostics, and logging tools.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
- Self-organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a remote team setup.
- Available to work on-call and during the second shift as needed.
- Some international travel is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Linux-based systems and basic shell navigation for troubleshooting.
- Experience with VMware, including NSX and distributed firewalls.
- Exposure to DevNet tools, automation (e.g., Ansible, Terraform), and infrastructure as code concepts.
- Knowledge of protocols such as HTTP, SMPP, SD-WAN.
- Understanding of service-oriented architectures and large-scale distributed platforms.
- Relevant certifications (Cisco, Palo Alto, AWS, Azure, CompTIA) are a strong plus.
