M9 Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to work on a government contract for a client located in San Diego, CA. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, monitor, and manage the local and wide area networks of an organization to ensure maximum up time for users.
- This role can include designing system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of a new network, and maintaining and upgrading existing systems as necessary.
- Network Design and Implementation:
- Design, plan, and implement LAN (Local Area Network) infrastructure.
- Configure and install Cisco network switches.
- Implement network security measures.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.
- Network Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Monitor network performance and identify potential issues.
- Troubleshoot network problems, diagnose issues, and implement solutions.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as software updates and hardware upgrades.
- Document network configurations and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Security+ certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in network administration.
- 5+ years of experience configuring Cisco switches.
- Have a Cisco CCO account to create Cisco TAC cases and download IOS updates.
