Your Mission:
Provides network infrastructure technical design, hands-on daily support and works with network infrastructure operation activities. Researches new technologies and provides recommendations to management for new technologies and network applications in response to business needs. Work with internal partners to evaluate and design solutions for business and customer requirements which will integrate with and enhance the network. The Sr. Network Engineer applies complex design principles and methodology to ensure cost-effective and optimal use of resources and technology without jeopardizing network integrity. This position acts with discretion and has decision-making abilities for projects.
What You’ll Do:
- Engineer network solutions and manage the implementation and ongoing support and provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for strategic (long term) and tactical (immediate term) network activities.
- Provide end-user Support for Tier-1 and Tier-2 level network issues, based on business priorities.
- Perform analytical, technical, cost analysis and CAPEX development work in the planning, design, installation and on-going administration of Little Caesars networks.
- Diagnose network failures that result in unavailable services personnel and to take appropriate steps to repair or restore services.
- Evaluate new network technologies and makes recommendations to project managers regarding the integration of these technologies into the existing network.
- Prepare technical proposals for presentation to the Architectural Review Board for adding new technologies to the network.
- Support senior leadership personnel and manage projects from inception to completion including technical assessments, architectural design and planning, integration, testing, and implementation.
- Interface with management and vendors to develop and implement new solutions to meet business requirements.
- Ensure that network infrastructure is fully documented and performing as required for internal and customer SLA guarantees and expectations by means of specific metrics and measurements.
- Maintain a close understanding of the business needs and provide technical expertise to Product Development to develop new product strategies and enhance existing product sets.
- Provide clear communication and documentation of events, processes, procedures and configuration details and monitor compliance to existing practices.
- Provide sound judgment for solving complex technical issues. Including effectively communicating the problem to management with recommendations for action to resolve the issue.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Provides support and ongoing reinforcement of change management philosophies related to changes and advances in innovative business systems.
- Network Infrastructure automation, Infrastructure as code, Ansible.
- Direct Connect, Cloud, Hybrid Cloud and DevOPs knowledge and adoption.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree with computer classes or equivalent experience and evidence of Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in network configuration and maintenance as it relates to network components, network encryption devices and network security.
- Advanced understanding of networking systems and TCP/IP to include experience in IP addressing and subnetting, network address translation, MTU and QoS.
- Evidence of strong knowledge of the following:
- Routing, Switching & Firewall (Cisco ASA, Cisco FTD, Cisco & Aerohive Wireless, Palo Alto, Meraki preferred), VPN, Cisco Stadium Vision; SolarWinds; understanding of Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP, MP-BGP, EIGRP and ECMP) and Gateway Redundancy Protocols (HSRP, VRRP, and GLRP) to include experience troubleshooting issues with these protocols;
- A strong knowledge of Virtual LANs, Trunking (VLANs), VXLAN, POS, Wireless, Multicast, SDWAN, EVPN, LISP.
- Ability to trouble shoot multitenant, complex network, infrastructure, security and application problem.
- Experience in supporting the full engineering lifecycle Demonstrated ability to work with various levels of colleagues and public, from top management to new hires.
- Evidence of ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Evidence of successful project implementation.
- Proven track record of success and a collaborative approach to working relationships.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio or other visualization and diagramming tools.
- Exceptional documentation skills that clearly articulate technical designs, issues and constraints, procedures and processes.
- Evidence of ongoing pursuit of technical knowledge and experience.

Where You'll Work:
- This position requires on-call responsibilities requiring work during nights, weekends, or holidays.
- Works in a normal office environment where there is no physical discomfort due to temperature, noise, dust and the like.
- Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers.
- Some travel including travel to restaurant locations and trade shows. This position requires the ability to adhere to the LCE Travel policy.
