System & Network Engineer - Expert

We are looking for an accomplished and passionate System & Network Engineer - Expert to join our cyber intelligence team in India. You will have an opportunity to participate in developing state of the art security technologies, and benefit from high-level involvement in major projects that will significantly contribute to making our world safer and more secure.

As a Cognyter you will

• Manage and maintain enterprise datacenter environment, ensuring optimal reliability, performance, and scalability. 
• Install, configure, and manage VMware vSphere enterprise environments, including ESXi, vCenter, and cluster management.
• Oversee tools such as Jenkins, WSUS, DNS, DHCP, SAST tools, VMware, Artifactory, Grafana, Prometheus.
• Provide support for internal integration and development teams in R&D production environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and network issues.
• Maintain and monitor enterprise infrastructure using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent platforms.
• Develop automation scripts using Bash/Shell and Python to streamline system operations.
• Lead proof of concepts and implement new technologies

For that mission you’ll need to have:

• 10–12 years of progressive experience in enterprise data center environments, specializing in infrastructure management, systems administration, and platform engineering.
• 5 years of Linux troubleshooting.
• 7 years of experience as a System Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role in enterprise environments.
• 5 years of hands-on expertise with VMware vSphere installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Hands on debugging of network issues in a large virtual environment
• Hands on with enterprise compute and storage hardware.
• Hands on with monitoring and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
• Strong background in Linux and Windows administration.
• Understanding of network administration concepts (routing, VLANs, firewalls, load balancing), equivalent to CCNA-level proficiency (minimum).
• Proficiency in Bash/Shell and Python scripting.
• Ability to lead multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve any kind of problem.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities across multi-functional teams.
• High attention to detail and accountability for system reliability.
• Commitment to operational excellence and continuous learning.

Nice to have:

• DevOps methodologies (Ansible/Jenkins/Git/Docker/Kubernetes/Prometheus) – Advantage.
• Central storage solutions (NetApp) and technologies (SAN, NAS) – Advantage.
• Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, WSUS, Jenkins, Git, Grafana, SAST tools. - Advantage
• Knowledge of Trident CSI driver and containerized storage integration for Kubernetes environments - Advantage.
• Managing Kubernetes clusters and storage – Advantage.
