Hadrian - Manufacturing the Future

Hadrian is building autonomous factories to reindustrialize America. By combining AI, advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing, we help aerospace and defense companies build rockets, satellites, aircraft, ships, and other mission-critical systems up to 10x faster and at significantly lower cost.

Following our $1.37B Series D at a $7.87B valuation, Hadrian is rapidly expanding our manufacturing footprint, launching new capabilities across welding, casting, forging, electronics, additive manufacturing, and more, while scaling our Factory-as-a-Service platform to transform how critical products are built.

Backed by leading investors including JPMorgan Chase, Valor Equity Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, 137 Ventures, Lux Capital, T. Rowe Price, and Morgan Stanley, we’re building the future of American manufacturing—and looking for exceptional people to help make it happen.

If you’re ready to take on the most challenging and rewarding work of your career while helping create American manufacturing jobs for generations to come, you’re exactly who we’re looking for.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to own the design, architecture, and reliability of network infrastructure across our data center, campus, multi-site, and cloud environments. You’ll define how our networks are built: setting standards, architecting connectivity from the data center fabric to the factory floor and office campus, and leading new site bring-ups from design through production.

You’ll be the technical authority on networking, partnering with infrastructure, IT, security, and operations teams to design scalable topologies, drive automation through Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and keep a 24/7 manufacturing environment reliable. The ideal candidate works comfortably across every layer and environment of the network (data center, campus, wired, wireless, WAN, and cloud), pairs deep expertise with strong architectural judgment, and builds systems and standards that scale beyond a single site.

What You’ll Do

  • Own network architecture across data center, campus, multi-site, and cloud, setting standards and reference designs that scale

  • Lead new site bring-ups from topology design and capacity planning through production handoff

  • Architect routing and switching in a scalable fashion, including route policy, redistribution, and segmentation

  • Design and operate BGP for internet edge, multi-homing, and cloud interconnects (peering, filtering, path selection, failover)

  • Build VXLAN/EVPN fabrics: spine-leaf, BGP EVPN control plane, VTEPs, L2/L3 VNIs, and DCI for scalable segmentation and multi-tenancy

  • Design and operate campus networks (access, distribution, core vs clos), wired and wireless, across offices and the factory floor

  • Run cloud-managed wired and wireless with Juniper Mist (Mist AI, Wired Assurance, WAN Assurance) for AI-driven operations and troubleshooting

  • Implement SD-WAN and overlay technologies (GRE/IPsec/SASE) to connect sites, cloud, and remote users

  • Design highly-available connectivity: VPNs (GlobalProtect, IPsec, remote access), first-hop redundancy (HSRP/VRRP), switch clustering

  • Architect cloud networking across AWS and Azure (VPC/VNet, transit, peering, hybrid, BGP over Direct Connect/ExpressRoute)

  • Drive network automation with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for provisioning, configuration, and change management

  • Set standards for monitoring, observability, documentation, and operational runbooks

  • Lead root-cause analysis across routing, overlay, wireless, DNS, and performance issues

  • Manage ISP and telecom relationships for circuits, redundancy, and escalations

  • Coordinate low-voltage vendors and structured cabling for facility and data center build-outs

  • Guide connectivity for facility systems (cameras, access control, IoT) and corporate Wi-Fi

  • Mentor IT and infrastructure teammates and review designs and changes

  • Join on-call rotations, incident response, maintenance windows, and help mature escalation processes

  • Support Kubernetes and container networking (CNI, ingress, service networking)

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years in network engineering, operations, or infrastructure, including senior design and architecture ownership

  • Deep expertise in TCP/IP, routing, switching, wireless, VLANs, DNS, and DHCP at scale

  • Full-stack network experience: data center, campus, and multi-site, wired and wireless

  • Strong production experience with BGP and OSPF (route policy, redistribution, filtering, path selection)

  • Hands-on with overlay networks, especially VXLAN/EVPN fabrics and spine-leaf

  • Campus LAN and enterprise wireless design, ideally with cloud-managed platforms like Juniper Mist

  • Solid high-availability and redundancy design (BGP/OSPF failover, HSRP/VRRP, path resiliency)

  • Proven multi-site enterprise network experience

  • Strong SD-WAN architecture and implementation experience

  • Hands-on VPN experience (GlobalProtect, IPsec site-to-site, remote access)

  • Cloud networking design (AWS and/or Azure), including hybrid connectivity and routing

  • Proficiency with IaC tools (Git, Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, CICD, etc.)

  • Track record leading complex network projects to completion

  • Strong operational mindset that balances speed and reliability

What Will Set You Apart

  • CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, or equivalent advanced certifications

  • Hands-on Juniper Mist (Mist AI, Wired Assurance, WAN Assurance, Marvis) for campus operations and AIOps

  • BGP at scale: route reflectors, communities, traffic engineering, multi-provider edge

  • EVPN/VXLAN fabrics in data center and/or campus (BGP EVPN, symmetric/asymmetric IRB, VRF multi-tenancy, ESI-LAG, DCI)

  • Route and overlay hardening (RPKI, prefix filtering, max-prefix limits, BFD)

  • Multi-vendor fabric platforms and controllers (Juniper Apstra, Arista CloudVision, Cisco NX-OS/ACI)

  • Deep Juniper (EX/QFX, SRX, Mist) and Palo Alto firewall experience

  • AWS/Azure networking depth (VPC, Direct Connect, VPN Gateway, Transit Gateway, ExpressRoute) with BGP-based hybrid routing

  • Kubernetes networking (CNI, ingress, service mesh, BGP load balancing like MetalLB/Calico)

  • ISP relationship and circuit provisioning management at scale

  • Structured cabling and low-voltage program leadership

  • Facility systems experience (cameras, access control, IoT)

  • Experience with designing a high-availability, 24/7 production environment design

  • Mentoring admins, engineers or technical lead experience

Physical & Operational Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move networking equipment (~50 lbs)

  • Comfortable working in data centers and equipment rooms

  • 10-20% travel required for site deployments

  • Participation in on-call rotation and occasional after-hours maintenance
