The Senior Network Engineer will provide senior-level network engineering support for complex enterprise, classified, and secure communications environments. This role will support the design, implementation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of secure network infrastructure across mission-critical federal IT environments.
The Senior Network Engineer will lead network design activities, troubleshoot complex network issues, support encrypted communications, document network architecture, mentor junior technical staff, and support change management, network security, segmentation, and operational improvements. This position will also help strengthen network availability, performance, resilience, compliance, and secure configuration management across the enterprise.
This role requires a hands-on senior technical professional with experience supporting routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, encrypted communications, network monitoring tools, segmentation strategies, and secure enterprise network operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical judgment, clear communication skills, documentation discipline, and the ability to collaborate across systems, cybersecurity, service desk, engineering, and government stakeholder teams in a classified or sensitive federal mission environment.
