Currently, we are looking for a Network Engineer - Security in Maastricht. In this role, you will be part of a diverse team working on one of the leading telecom networks worldwide. You will collaborate with IP & Telecom experts to design and build this high-end network in strong partnership with our customers. You will work with a security mindset in a state-of-the-art technology network based on a multi-vendor environment.
Techniques: • Firewalling, DNS, Load balancing, IPSec VPNs• Cisco, Juniper,• Firewalls (Checkpoint, Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet, F5)• Load Balancers (F5)• IDPs• DNS & IPAM (Infoblox)
What you will do:
• Review the High-Level and Low-Level designs and provide valuable feedback.• Build the IP network for tomorrow from these designs.• Make changes and modifications and test them in the Test Centre before implementing them in the live network via a strict change management process.• Deploy changes and solutions.• Analyze and automate our current manual processes using tools such as Ansible, among others.
The skills you bring:
• Relevant bachelor's degree with CCNA certification, along with additional certifications such as NSE4, CCSE/CCSA, and BIG-IP.• Knowledge of network configuration management tools.• Proven experience in network security engineering.• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.• Around 5-10 years of experience as an IP Network Engineer.• Service-oriented mindset.• Proficiency in Dutch is a significant asset, and business fluency in English is essential.
The following skills are highly desirable
• Experience in working with Ansible and Python.• Proven experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines.• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaaC).
