The tribe provides core technical capabilities and shared services that are used across the organization, ensuring that underlying systems are reliable, scalable, and future-proof.
Job Description
The Remote Device Squad is part of the Common Systems & Services Tribe and focuses on the systems and services related to Remote Devices (RDs) used in business environments. The squad is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of Remote Devices that serve as the network handover point for business customers. The Squad is looking for an experienced Network Engineer who can fulfill and meet the following Tasks and requirements:
- Engineering and Validation for the Remote Devices (RDs) on BNG and Access 4.0 platforms
- Development, planning and execution of test cases as well as their evaluation
- Network management via SNMP, Radius, DNS, SSH
- Coordination with our nearshore teams
- Close cooperation with international equipment manufacturers
- Experience in network technology,ie: IPv4, IPv6, PPPoE, DHCP, ICMP, VRRP, Network Security, L2-VPN, Ethernet, VDSL / SHDSL
- Experience with Linux
- Experience in HP Quality Center
- Experience in Spirent Test Center (Keysight), Ixia-Networks (Viavi)
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools
- Independent and proactive way of working
- Very good knowledge of English, German desirable
