The Client is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to implement, support, troubleshoot, and maintain agency IT network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and troubleshoot enterprise routers, switches, VPNs, firewalls, WAPs, and load balancers.
- Configure, upgrade, manage, and document network infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot network issues affecting application performance and uptime.
- Collaborate with IT vendors, stakeholders, Cloud, and DevSecOps teams on hybrid connectivity and SD-WAN.
- Develop and maintain network architecture/topology diagrams, IP schemes, firewall rules, and access controls.
- Support network installations, upgrades, performance optimization, and disaster recovery.
- Work independently on assigned network projects.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of hands-on enterprise networking experience.
- 8+ years designing, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting LAN/WAN networks.
- Strong experience with routers, switches, WAPs, VPNs, firewalls, and network security.
- Experience with ARP, CDP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VTP, EtherChannel, HSRP, QoS, multicast, and IPsec.
- Experience with network monitoring, compliance, fault-tolerant/scalable architecture, performance tuning, and documentation/Visio.
- Industry networking certification such as CCNA or JNCIA-Junos.
- SD-WAN – 3+ years desired.
- Cloud networking/topology – 3+ years desired.

- 8+ years of hands-on enterprise networking experience

- Experience with routers, switches, wireless access points, VPNs, firewalls, and network security
- Experience with ARP, CDP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VTP, EtherChannel, HSRP, QoS, multicast, and IPsec
- Experience with network monitoring, compliance, fault-tolerant and scalable architecture, performance tuning, and documentation using Visio
- Industry networking certification such as CCNA or JNCIA-Junos
- 3+ years of SD-WAN experience
- 3+ years of cloud networking and topology experience
- Availability for an in-person interview and onsite work in Mechanicsville, Virginia
