Position Summary:
We are looking for a Network Security Engineer with 3–6 years of experience to support firewall operations in a large enterprise environment. This role focuses on firewall policy analysis, IP address triage, rule management, and coordination with security stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with FortiGate and Cisco firewalls, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work with tools such as Skybox and AlgoSec. Strong Excel skills and comfort working in structured corporate environments are essential.
Primary Skillset:
- Hands-on experience with FortiGate, FortiManager, and Cisco ASA / Firepower firewalls
- Strong firewall troubleshooting and rule analysis skills
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, and basic networking concepts
- Experience working with Skybox and AlgoSec (added advantage)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including handling large datasets and validations
- Familiarity with enterprise change management and approval workflows
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a structured corporate environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze external client IP address lists
- Perform IP address triage across the firewall estate using tools such as Skybox, direct firewall access, and AlgoSec
- Identify the associated Firewall Service Definition (FSD) for each IP and document firewall details, FSD numbers, and NAT addresses
- Update and maintain tracking worksheets and progress trackers with accurate triage and FSD details
- For FSDs onboarded to DigiFSD:
- Update existing firewall rules with SDS ID, ITSI, and related details
- Create new firewall rules where required and obtain approvals from CSO
- For FSDs not onboarded to DigiFSD:
- Collect connectivity details and onboard TC02 connectivity into DigiFSD
- Upload firewall rules with SDS ID and secure CSO approval
- Ensure all firewall changes follow defined change management and approval processes
- Participate in weekly stakeholder calls and provide structured status updates
- Maintain accurate documentation of firewall rules, configurations, and processes
