11:11 Systems is looking for a Network Deployment Engineer to assist in the configuration, deployment, and support of our customer deliveries and 11:11's network infrastructure. This is a hybrid position based in Northern New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Participate in high-level network deployments & onsite maintenance
• Plan and coordinate network installs with field technicians and Service Delivery Specialists
• Oversee test & turn-up of new customer network deployments
• Carry out lab testing on equipment for new deployments, failure analysis, and new equipment validation
• Provide Tier 2/3 remote and onsite support for our 24x7 network, including some on-call nights and weekends
• Proactively identify enhancements to existing procedures to operational performance
• Contribute to the documentation of network configuration and processes
• Help automate daily network deployment processes where possible
• Serve as an escalation point of contact for customers seeking additional technical assistance
• Develop and maintain customer relationships as a representative of the Connectivity Network Deployment team.
• Pursue advanced certifications and stay abreast of current technologies in the Juniper, Cisco, and VMware (Cloud) product space
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

The following skills represent the minimum requirements to be considered for this position:

• 3+ years of relevant work experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of various networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS)
• Demonstrated knowledge of testing & troubleshooting skills at different network layers
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Very strong attention to detail & excellent documentation skills
• Good interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Skills

The following skills represent additional proficiencies preferred to be successful in this position:

• Automation experience & knowledge of scripting languages and tools
• JNCIA/CCNA and/or additional advanced networking certifications
• Linux knowledge
• SD-WAN deployment experience, or experience in a carrier environment
• Experience with additional networking protocols such as IPsec, Network Segmentation, Switching, VRF's, VLAN's and load balancing.
• Experience working with global data center environments.
• Experience with VMware, Veeam, Cohesity or similar backup and replication products and software-defined networking.
