Harrods’ IT comprises a broad and tailored offering to support our luxury store in Knightsbridge, London and our Harrods.com website, as well as our wider Retail, Sales, Buying, Distribution, Fulfilment and Corporate functions. At this important and influential time, our IT Service Management & SAP Delivery team are seeking for a Network & Communications Manager to join us in driving improved governance and operational delivery across the department.
About the Role
Our IT offering is supported by a mix of in-house technology and 3rd party partnerships; our success is defined by our integrated and united approach to a full IT operation. The role of the Network & Communications Manager is to establish strategy and processes, including lean, effective standards, policies, and procedures to evolve existing solutions, services, objectives and KPIs to match our ever-increasing capability and maturity. This role will stretch and exercise your personal and professional dynamism and capability. As the Network & Communication Manager, you will evolve the infrastructure service offering ensuring lean, scalable, fit-for-purpose / best-of-breed solutions are identified, designed, implemented and supported to support the business' objectives and future vision.
About You
You will be Cisco certified with demonstrable knowledge and expereince in WAN, LAN, WLAN, Firewalls, Telephony, Mobile Infrastructure and Data Centre/Server Rooms. You’ll have sound knowledge of systems, software, technologies, communications and suppliers to support business needs. You will have relevant hands-on IT Service Management knowledge, experience and qualifications such as ITIL V3.0, BSc or MSc are desirable. Additionally, you will have knowledge of best-of-breed toolsets (e.g. SolarWinds, Cisco Catalyst Centre, Fresh Service, Workday, Jira).
You’ll be a strong people manager with the ability to lead an inspire. You’ll be ambitious and driven with the ability to influence and guide senior leaders. In style you are professional and confident, with high levels of presence and gravitas which paired with your extensive knowledge and expertise gives great confidence to your business stakeholders.
You will also have:
- It is critical you have Security focussed mindset and will be a heavy focus in this role.
