Job Overview:

We are looking to fill an expert/lead technical role. Define network architectures and design for the enterprise. Work on multiple projects as a project leader or as the subject matter expert. Work on projects/issues of high complexity that require in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments. Coach and mentor more junior technical staff.

In this role you will be responsible for high-level network planning, design, and optimization. Develop strategies and direction for network systems solutions using current and emerging technologies (including wireless). Translate business requirements into network or process designs. Plan and recommend network hardware, systems management software and architecture. Approve and modify network design and architecture to ensure compliance. Configure and maintain routers, switches, and hubs for the network systems (including wireless). Evaluate and recommend new products, maintains knowledge of emerging technologies for application to the enterprise. Monitor network performance, ensure capacity planning is performed, and is proactive in assessing and making recommendations for improvement. Perform troubleshooting procedures and design resolution scripts. May take on role of Project Leader for special enterprise-wide assignments. And other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments performing network planning, architecture design, engineering (hardware and software) and optimization.

  • Ability to lift light equipment or materials, generally up to 30-50 pounds.
  • Adequate vision to perform tasks effectively, including close and distance work.

Skills Required
