KeenLogic is seeking a Global Journeyman Network and Computer Systems Administrator to join our team at the CDC based out of Atlanta, GA to provide outstanding customer service supporting the Global Activities in several countries worldwide.
Global Activities supports networks which include network infrastructure, file servers, satellite communications, and messaging systems. As a Network Administrator, you will support foreign nationals daily, including the administration, maintenance, and problem-solving for these systems. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to address Country Directors, Local IT, and Customers.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required
- Active Passport, willing to travel out of the country
- Willing to travel up to 50% of the time, providing 24x7 operation on-call support
Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 2 and 3 technical services to global customers with large tasks.
- Install, integrate, upgrade, operate, administer, and monitor the LAN operating systems and servers in a Microsoft environment (CISCO-certified engineer desired).
- Configure, install, and implement applications and software available on the LAN file server. Configure disk subsystems to ensure efficient storage utilization and backup.
- Maintain utilities for network management and audit trails.
- Providing communications and presentation, ability to speak to Country Directors, ITA, and customers.
- Traveled, international and domestic. The engineer will travel to remote countries at least 2-3 weeks a month.
- Ability to be Self-Started, with limited supervision.
